Day 117

She can roll over.

Hey, I just rolled over. (6/20/11)

Day 116: Father's Day

6/19/11
For the record, this was Aaron's fifth Father's Day on the dad team. When we married in 2007, he became stepdad to Megan.

Now, he has Natalie to celebrate him too. For her gift, she laughed at him when he made a howling noise. It was the first laugh he's gotten from her. She was saving it for the best day. And the best guy.

I'm so glad he has someone to call him Daddy. These two deserve each other. And I mean that in the sweetest way.

Day 114

Ignore the grainy video and my babytalk, and hear the sweet sound of Natalie's coos. She sounds just like the doves outside our home in Wichita Falls.

Day 106 was full of excitement

6/10/11
Our Wichita Falls house sold. We signed papers that morning. Then we drove to our annual cousins weekend at Lake Travis. The drive took six hours with the baby, instead of the usual four hours. I didn't take a photo. This one is from the next morning.

Oops. We got preoccupied with getting the house ready to sell and missed a day's photo. This is from the day before.

I went to Target. Megan babysat. Natalie cried. Megan walked her around and around the condo, making the loud shhhhhhhhhhsh-ing sound we'd read about in The Happiest Baby on the Block. Finally, Natalie passed out, just in time for me to return and take this photo.

Update

I am behind on posting but not on taking photos, although I did miss one day this past week. We've been busily getting our Wichita Falls house ready to sell. That required a lot of de-cluttering and other work -- not so easy with a little one. I'll have photos up soon!

News update: Natalie can roll over from her tummy to her back. It happened about 10 days ago, right after I last posted a photo.

The sweetest thing right now, though, is that both of my girls are napping in the same room. We're at the Dallas condo doing Megan's laundry and repacking her for a busy summer. Megan fell asleep on one of her twin beds, and I put Natalie down, asleep, on the other.

I keep going in there to peek at them, those sweet, sleeping sisters. Shhh!
