Of course not

Natalie was born February 24 at 1 p.m.. She weighed 7 pounds and was 18.75 inches long.

We brought her home two days later. Of course we moved her little bed right out of the cedar closet and put it beside my nightstand. This little baby will never sleep in a cedar nest. She will be right here beside me where we can listen to her breaths and monitor her every squeak and sigh.

But maybe ...

Maybe she won't sleep in there. It's kind of a little too dark and quiet. We have another nice spot near the washing machine.

Welcome to your cedar clo--- I mean, nursery

We live in a rented condo this year while we get our bearings in a new-ish city and look for a home. So the nursery of one Dallas baby, when she gets here, will be this spacious (relatively speaking) closet. I'm not worried. Most babies in the world are born into much less than a cozy nest, warm home, and plenty of food, not to mention clean water. And this little girl has a lot of people waiting to hold her.
